The Vertical Loading and Feeding Units are installed at the outfeed end of production lines. Their function is to assemble products on edge, into slugs, and and transfer them to the feed conveyor of a flowpack wrapping machine. create portions of products in a vertical position (on edge). The products to be handled are typically biscuits, crackers, sandwich biscuits, toast slices or cracker breads.
The Vertical Loading and Feeding Units have been designed in a modular concept and allow configurations of a minimum of 4 channels up to a maximum of 16, depending on the number of rows of products arriving and the required performance or capacities, in number of packages per minute.
The feeder allows the continuous flow of production to be managed, to be converted into portions of the desired length and to be automatically transferred to a flowpack wrapping machine. The dose-length regulation and the thickness of each product can be automatically modified by the operator, while the equipment is in operation.
The Vertical Feeding Unit can also place the products into cardboard or plastic trays.
